Thanks for reviewing! Yes, the plan is to work on a long term in order to iteratively introduce non breaking changes as long as we can. I will create a plan on Jira with the different tasks required, Most likely the first works will end up in 4.11 and probably the last bits in 4.12 (likely next LTS). Any breaking compatibility change required will be tracked and postponed for the next major.
