URL: https://github.com/apache/camel-kit/pull/116
## What
Adds the Antora component layout that lets the Apache Camel website build
the Camel Kit documentation from this repository, the standard pattern for
Camel subprojects (Camel K, Kafka Connector, Quarkus, Spring Boot, Karaf):
- `docs/antora.yml`: component `camel-kit`, `version: next`, `prerelease:
true`, attributes `camel-kit-version`, `camel-kit-knowledge-version`,
`camel-version`.
- `docs/modules/ROOT/nav.adoc`: the navigation (Getting started, Pipeline,
Architecture, Reference, Contributing).
- `docs/modules/ROOT/pages/index.adoc`: the overview page (what Camel Kit
does, the workflow and command table, supported AI agents, how it is built).
- One stub page per navigation entry so that every `xref:` resolves. The
stubs are filled by the following documentation pull requests, one per
navigation group.
The existing `docs/*.md` files are not changed; Antora only reads
`docs/modules/**`. No code, POM or package change.
## Why
Camel Kit is an Apache Camel subproject since 2026-10-21. Its documentation
currently lives on a standalone site. Once the content pull requests are
merged, a pull request on `apache/camel-website` registers this repository in
the Antora playbook and the documentation is published at
`camel.apache.org/camel-kit/next/`. The standalone site stays as is until then.
## Verification
Built locally with the Camel website UI bundle (`antora` 3.2,
`runtime.log.failure_level: warn`): 27 pages, no warnings; navigation,
breadcrumbs and attribute substitution checked in the output. A minimal
playbook to reproduce:
```yaml
site:
title: Apache Camel
url: https://camel.apache.org
content:
sources:
- url: <path to this clone>
branches: HEAD
start_path: docs
ui:
bundle:
url: <path to camel-website>/antora-ui-camel/public/_
asciidoc:
extensions:
- "@asciidoctor/tabs"
runtime:
log:
failure_level: warn
```
Run `NODE_PATH=<path to camel-website>/node_modules antora --clean
playbook.yml` from the camel-website checkout.
Website impact: required; this pull request is the first step of the website
migration.
