Benedict - this is totally fair ask. Initially, we wanted a wide audience to help, but the GSoD stuff only allowed for two project contacts on the sign up forms. Apache Airflow (the other ASF project accepted) and us both had to do some work-arounds for how the ASF process/mail lists/etc are setup unfortunately. The communication fell through the cracks as a result. Probably a key example of why, although sometimes clunky, our usual process is at least keeps folks up to date :)

Once we get everything sorted, we will get the contributor(s) subscribed here and hopefully get them actively involved in the development process for docs as we would any other contributor.
