Personally, braces on newlines doesn't bother me. I do wish github actions could report violations and warnings on code style in PRs. I believe it's the "warning but not violation" aspect that we haven't tackled. It's wasted time for the seasoned contributors to have to be manually checking and informing new contributors about it.
