Greetings all, just a quick heads up. We used to distribute OS packages
for the CPP driver via an Artifactory server hosted by DataStax. We're in
the midst of migrating away from that resource so for the foreseeable
future these packages (and any other build artifacts) will be made
available on the Github release for a given driver version. I've migrated
packages from the last three CPP driver releases to their
corresponding Github page as something of a proof-of-concept.
Note that in each case we'll be posting packages only for supported OS
versions. Also note that we're only posting packages for the library
itself; at the moment there are no plans to post a dev package (containing
source and library) or a debug package (including symbols).
This approach is evolving and we're certainly open to feedback so if you
have any please send it along!
