Hi,
this is a follow up to my own email where I announced that we will be
participating in the Google summer of code program as mentoring
organizations and that we are looking for applications from students.
I am now more than happy to be in a position where I can announce that
three proposals have been accepted by Google, and that a result of this
we'll be able to make some good progress on a JAXB implementation for
Castor XML.
I will (again) follow up with more details later on this week, where I
will explain the scope of the work per se, the individual task packages
for which three folks have been accepted, and finally introduce the
three lucky ones.
But for the time being, let me just mention that as an open source
project we are looking forward to these high-quality contributions, and
that as an individual I am excited to feel this very positive impact on
the project and its long-term viability
