[castor-dev] About committership - was [VOTE] Joachim Grueneis as
committer for Castor (XML)
Abdul,
in order to proposed as a committer of Castor (and probably any other
open source project), you have to have a certain level of history with
the project.This includes - amongst other things -
- a level of committment
- engagement on any level (presence on e.g. the user mailing list)
- Submision of patches (via Jira) that eventuelly get merged into SVN
trunk by other committers.
- an idea about why you want to become a committer, and even more
important, why the other committers should vote for you to be accepted.
This is an open source project, and like any other project, we have
rules which we'd like to follow.
