Thanks, Udai. Knowing a bit about the initial project idea and the (limited) current OQL support for Castor JDO, I wonder why you chose EJB QL as your preferred query language ? Clearly there's Castor JDO users out there that are using Castor JDO and its OQL support.

In addition, I guess you have had a look at some of the relevant source code. What's your ideas with regards to the following items:

a) How would you go about implementing parsing of an OQL statement ?
b) How would you achieve the possibility to potentially plugin other query languages ?

Please remember that we (committers) have to rank your application(s) in a few days time. Given that some of the applications are rather limited in scope, this is your chance to show us that you will be able to make a contribution to the project.

Regards
Werner

I am having full three months summer vacations (MAY-JUNE-JULY) from my University so my only focus will be to perform well, produce results and get successful in GSoC. I am sure this project will be appropriate for me. If I get selected then I will only work for GSoC otherwise I would be working with my Prof. on his research project in my University software lab. :(
