Hi,
just to let everyone know that I have just committed a new (Maven)
module named 'doc' that I plan to use (long term) for maintaining and
releasing project documentation. This new module is tightly integrated
with Maven and uses DocBook internally as the 'lingua franca' for
writing documentation, mainly the NEW user guide.
I do recognize that it will not be easy to convert our current
documentation to DocBook, but the benefits of this integration (multiple
output formats, i.e. HTML, chunked HTML and PDF) is enough reason for me
to invest the time. As such, the plan is to move all documentation of
all the existing modules (XML, code generator, DDLgen, CPA) to the user
guide and of course partially rewrite the documentation.
As such, our main menu will shrink in size and present the user with
information about the project only.
Due to the sheer size of this task, I can only ask everybody
(committers, contributors and users) to help us with this task, as
clearly it will improve the user experience by a big factor.
