Hi Lukas,

at the moment about half of the tests of the old test framework have been migrated to the new one. To not loss overview of what has been migrated or not we have removed all migrated tests from old test framework. For some of the tests to be migrated there already exist issues to migrated them but these issues do not cover all tests. All of this issues are assigned to Udai if you want to take a look at them.

When you migrate tests you only enable them for the databases that you have tested them against which should at least be derby embedded. I have setup mysql, oracle and postgresql and execute tests against this databases from time to time. Another user (Clovis) working with sapdb will execute tests against these database engine on request. I would appreciate if you could run tests against another database engine which is not covered by someone else.

Apart of the databases that have been tested there is no guaranty that DDL scripts nor tests work without failures.

If you have further questions you can also reach me at castor irc.

Regards
Ralf

I just run across your migration process. As I've started to migrate
testcases related to my work (tc7x, ff.), a few questions popped up:

a) How do you assure, migrated testcases still run on all the databases?
Has anyone set up all the DBMS?
b) How can one guarantee, create and drop scripts work?

Hey Devs,

I'm trying to get a general idea of how many cpactf tests have already
been migrated to be executed within maven build.

As far as I know, Ralf and Udai are working on this issue
(http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/CASTOR-2237). Which functional tests
are still missing in this area?

The next few days, I will extend the AutoStore mechanism and add support
for JPA cascading styles.

Lukas
