Fix For: 4.0.0
The returns-null case is handled by the framework never asking any
RoutingService for advice. Hence the DefaultRoutingService which redirects
'null' to the homepage never has a chance to act.
However, the concept of routing is sill useful. Just update docs and remove the
DefaultRoutingService from the code base.
