Uhhh.... strike this, sorry. Not a bug in Cayenne.

We had a workaround in our code for a foreign key reference to a non-existant 
record. Bascially we catch a FaultFailureException and return null, however we 
do not cache this workaround so we get a FaultFailureException every time we 
try to look up that relationship.

BTW! Cayenne 3.0 works great! We found 2-3 problems in our application (great 
compatibility) and not one  in Cayenne! We upgraded from Cayenne 1.2 for a 
pretty decent sized application that had all sorts of nasty workarounds for 
buggy databases!
