+1 on the general idea, -1 on making it a Summer of Code project. The
problem is that any significant new development has to be done by a
person or a group dedicated enough to support and extend it beyond 3
months of the SoC duration. We have 3 nice projects developed during
SoC 2006, that are sitting in the SVN unattended:

Don't want to make this mistake again.

Andrus,
Have you considered GWT implementation? It looks like a perfect
candidate for 3-tier application with cayenne.
What would it take to implement ObjectContext in gwt and have gwt
rpc based communication protocol, instead of hessian.
I think this would be great thing for cayenne, as gwt is gaining a
lot of traction among java developers.
Cheers

Summer of Code is here. I think I may sign up as a mentor for some
specific tasks within the scope of Cayenne project. If somebody has
project idea and/or also wants to be a mentor, please speak up.
Thanks,
Andrus
