+1 on keeping remove. It really is a different idea, and without copy/
paste buffers to ensure that you don't inadvertently lose something
you cut before... (not suggesting we add buffers; they're always done
wrong. Except maybe in vim. ;)

toolbar icon. It seems to me the Remove one can go away now. Cut
would be the safer option and allow them to paste as an undo
operation.
