Yeah, you need to install m2eclipse (and Subclipse as well). I also suggest you run "mvn clean install" on project root from command line, so that all artifacts are downloaded before importing project to workspace (or import cayenne-parent and run maven from Eclipse, but my Eclipse usually dies at doing that). After that, all dependencies should be resolved. Note also, that if you're looking for latest source code, you should look at 3.1 trunk and not 3.0.1
