Hi Michael, I haven't tried grails, so I don't know whether there is any interaction there. But my code is littered with:
SelectQuery q = new SelectQuery(SomeEntity.class); And it all works. So it sounds like there may be some issue with your environment? What version of Cayenne are you using?
