Jeff Potts commented on CMIS-312:
---------------------------------
One of the pocoo (pocoo is the project that is responsible for Sphinx), Daniel
Neuhäuser, says that as long as we distribute only our src directory we do not
have to do any kind of attribution to comply with either Sphinx or JQuery.
[1:49pm] jpotts: The question is: What, if anything, do I need to do to
properly comply with Sphinx and JQuery licenses if all I am distributing is my
set of rst files and the _static directory?
[1:52pm] DasIch: jpotts: sphinx license doesn't apply as the data is at best
generated
[1:53pm] DasIch: jpotts: if you don't distribute the build directory jquery
license doesn't apply either
[1:54pm] jpotts: okay, cool. thx Daslch
[1:55pm] DasIch: jpotts: if you are distributing the build directory the jquery
license would apply, jquery is dual licensed under mit and gpl so you can
choose either
[1:56pm] DasIch: jpotts: the mit license simply asks you to distribute to
copyright and permission notice in all copies of the software see
https://github.com/jquery/jquery/blob/master/MIT-LICENSE.txt
[1:56pm] jpotts: we just distribute the src dir and not the build so it sounds
like we're good
[1:56pm] DasIch: yep
