running workbench.sh gives the following error from linux.
./workbench.bad.sh: 36: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
Tested the last two nightly builds (starting at 899) and saw the issue. Not
sure how far back it goes.
Substituted an older workbench.sh from a working build and the build was
otherwise ok.
