I usually us a script/batch file to set them automatically when starting the workbench:
#! /bin/sh CUSTOM_JAVA_OPTS="\ -Dcmis.workbench.binding=browser \ -Dcmis.workbench.url=http://localhost:8080/inmemory/browser \ -Dcmis.workbench.user=jens \ -Dcmis.workbench.password= \ -Dcmis.workbench.compression=true \ -Dcmis.workbench.cookies=true" cd workbench . ./workbench.sh Perhaps this helps in your case as well to do something like this.
