The sling-launchpad-plugin can produce both but it needs the dependencies to be
provided in the list.xml format. This is less handy as the tools to manage
maven versions and IDE-autocompletation cannot be used.
The changes to the karaf-maven-plugin should be donated back to maven. Creating
in clerezza first to give it a try.
