I don't think Click will be going to the Attic, it is way too handy framework
to be shafted.

Despite the fact that Java is my favourite language and did studied at the
university, I wouldn't call myself as a seasoned Java developer - I can write
complex script in Java, but I have no clue about commercial software
development procedures, I am more like into databases and GIS, but that doesn't
mean that I couldn't write a few lines here and there if that is a must.

It looks like that the development process requires a strong steering from
Malcolm or someone who is expert in commercial development procedures,
prioritise the TODO's, keep up the framework with the mainstream of Java specs
if necessary and tells people what needs to be done.

The last edition came out in 2011, as far as I can recall there were some
issues with stateful pages beforehand thus those were removed, but those are
not even necessary if you are dealing with session objects instead. I am using
the latest edition and it works as a charm, I have never noticed anything buggy
in it at all, so I wouldn't know what are required to be developed/improved.

I would hate to see a great framework like Click become a thing of the past. I
would like to continue the project but I am not sure how maintain and promote
it. What does it take to keep this project going?

Hi All,
The Apache Click project development has effectively stalled because the
remaining committers on the project do not have time to progress its'
development.

At this point the project has two options, either grow the community and active
committers who can advance the project or it can be migrated into the Apache
Attic where the code will continue to be available:

http://attic.apache.org/

I would like to gauge peoples interest at this point. Is anyone wanting to pick
up the mantle to continue the development of this project, or should we migrate
the project into the Apache Attic.

regards
