Mike, Thanks for the clarification here. I put some of this info onto a new CLIMATE Developer Guide wiki page [1], it is still a work in progress, but I outlined how I was able to create a pull request on Github last week.
I also put the new committer link in the page as well so people can find it. If anyone on the list wants to try it out and provide feedback, that would be super.
