I agree with Cam's sentiment, we should never add extra dependencies just
to make it a little bit easier to write unit tests. That said, I am fairly sure
that dateutil is a required dependency for matplotlib, which is itself needed
to generate all of the plots in OCW. I would assume that anyone that is capable
of making plots with OCW would also have dateutil installed, which is why I am
guessing Mazi didn't realize that he already had it installed.
Cam, can you successfully import matplotlib on your machine but not
dateutil?
