Sure @lewismc. The subsetting of the netcdf files in the readMergData
method (around line 143) was leading to the exception being thrown. So I add a
few lines to address that.
Note that in the next iteration, that function will be further broken down
to use the subsetting functionality in ocw/dataset_processor.py
