I would like to create a viable datasource for PO.DAAC
http://podaac.jpl.nasa.gov/ws
This would accompany ESGF, DAP and Local data sources.
A rudimentary Python API for PO.DAAC which I names podaacpy can be found at
https://github.com/lewismc/podaacpy
We should create a good data source from podaacpy
