The Update button in the UI is nearly useless. The user doesn't actually have
to use the button at all so it ends up being confusing for the user. At this
point we should just remove it and re-implement the functionality later in more
correct format. We can evaluate valid user input after they stop inputting
values instead of requiring that they push a specific button.
