When the user inputs values into the ParameterSelectCtrl boxes the overlays are
redrawn on the map multiple times. Aside from the possible performance issue,
this also causes the selected region to be redrawn in strange/invalid ways.
Currently the map redraw watches for changes in the regionSelectParams service
object and updates as necessary. Update the drawing routine so that it no
longer triggers off user changes to the parameters alone.
