Basically it only needs to allow connections on port 22 with either a key or a password and Jenkins will pretty much auto configure itself to run it as a slave. So Jenkins isn’t even running on the machine, just the slave process.
What i do to prepare a machine to be a (centos) slave is: * install rpmbuild, git, yum-utils * git clone the cloudstack source (or download just the spec file) * run yum-builddep on packaging/centos(63|7)/cloud.spec to install all dependencies * install mysql-server or mariadb-server (for the simulator) * remove the cloudstack sources again Cheers, Hugo > On 26 nov. 2014, at 16:34, Pierre-Luc Dion <pd...@cloudops.com> wrote: > > does it only require to run jenkins as slave? or their is any other > particular requirements? > > > *Pierre-Luc DION* > Architecte de Solution Cloud | Cloud Solutions Architect > t 855.652.5683 > > *CloudOps* Votre partenaire infonuagique* | *Cloud Solutions Experts > 420 rue Guy *|* Montreal *|* Quebec *|* H3J 1S6 > w cloudops.com *|* tw @CloudOps_ > > > On Wed, Nov 26, 2014 at 10:25 AM, Hugo Trippaers <h...@trippaers.nl> wrote: > >> If any one needs something build or tested on CentOS 7 let me know or >> create a build tagged for cloudstack-buildslave-centos7 >> >> Cheers, >> >> Hugo >> >> P.S.
