-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi,
I just ran into the issue with the Graphite output for the StatsCollector that the JVM never re-resolved the graphite hostname after changing the DNS name. This is due to networkaddress.cache.ttl being defaulted to -1: "Specified in java.security to indicate the caching policy for successful name lookups from the name service. The value is specified as as integer to indicate the number of seconds to cache the successful lookup. A value of -1 indicates "cache forever"." I had to restart the management server to get this working again. Shouldn't we default this to 0 everywhere? Let the DNS recursor handle the caching and not the JVM.
