Although it is technically possible to use official ip address space on the
public network with routes to rfc1918 I don't know if those scenarios are
widespread or commonly used. One example would be if you use an external VPN
appliance that allocates private addresses, used to access the public ips.
This should as a minimum be noted (possibly in bold) in the release notes
as an attention for operators
