I’ve gotten to the bottom of my query, it was the Java 11 jar dependency that
Rohit baked-in rather than the python related jars.

I *believe* that the explicit need for python-dns came with the newest version
of mysql-connector-python (the "broken one") - the explicit need for it was not
there before

We need the mysql-connector-python rpm because of cloudstack-setup-databases.
We need python-dns too as it's required by cloudstack-setup-databases.

Hi Folks,

Am I correct in thinking that for 4.14, we don’t need to pre-install the python
connector?
I *think* that it’s still a dependency in the RPMs. If it is, then we need to
remove it.

Paul.
