This doesn't work with cocoon-2.1 because some lines have been commented out in version 1.4 of org\apache\cocoon\components\elementprocessor\impl\poi\hssf\elements\Cell.java with the comment: This part is plain wrong: in gnumeric a formula cell is a cell lacking the ValueType attribute Disabled this code until someone implements it correctly. >From this clue I've made a patch which seems to do this.
