var initCtx = new Packages.javax.naming.InitialContext();

However, the following does not:

importPackage(Packages.javax.naming);
...
var initCtx = new InitialContext();

returns the error: org.mozilla.javascript.EvaluatorException:
"file:/home/steve/mdc/cocoon-2.1/build/webapp/clavin/flow/global.js", line 16:
Java constructor for "javax.naming.InitialContext" with arguments "" not found.

and

importClass(Packages.javax.naming.InitialContext);
...
var initCtx = new InitialContext();

returns java.lang.NullPointerException
