Are you running Cocoon on a remote host? Is the remote host allowed to open a window on your workstation? (Hint: if you're using X11, set the DISPLAY env. var.).
Good ol ' Win2k running Apache/Tomcat//Cocoon CVS (a few days old) on my own machine, so no remote host stuff.
So Tomcat has the rights to start up Guis does it?
