Having a commit message "Syncing" says nothing about the changes done. If you later want to have a look into the history of a specific file and you only find "Syncing" you don't know what has changed. You must at least have a look into the 2.1 repository and search for the corresponding version (at the moment they mostly match in the version numbers, but how long ...). If you use the same commit message as for the 2.1 commit, you don't need to search for the comments.

Eh, clear now what I mean?
