Summary: consistent line-endings for all text files
           Product: Cocoon 2
           Version: Current CVS 2.1
          Platform: All
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Normal
          Priority: Other
         Component: core
        AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
        ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]

There have been many files in our CVSs that have non-UNIX end-of-line markers.
Apache CVS stores all files in UNIX format. However, some CVS clients allow
inconsistent line-endings to creep in. This propagates the problem to the
distributions and thence to the users. In some circumstances such
inconsistencies are known to cause runtime problems.

Here is some discussion about the issue:

We are gradually fixing it following the guidelines in:

This Bugzilla issue will help us to plan, fix, and monitor the problem.
