As a user, I would never install software that requires me to download and install another software in order to compile it. Dependecies are different as I can run Cocoon without downloading them but I wouldn't be able to compile cocoon without Maven. You are asking people who use cocoon to learn Maven as well? That doesn't make sense, we're using Cocoon, not Maven. - From a community standpoint you're turning people away with an unreasonable requirement. From a programatic standpoint, I'd wait until real blocks are out before suggesting moving everything and asking people to move with us. - ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nuno Santos" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, May 26, 2004 07:42 Subject: Re: [VOTE] - Move Cocoon to Maven > I do believe that both current build system and maven build system > with only a minor changes. > > Is a fact that maven requires a standard directory ( which is not > too diferent from the one adopted for cocoon build system) but > with a minor change it can be done! > > Don't forget that the maven build system has a multiproject goal > that can be used to build all the blocks. > > On Mon, 2004-05-24 at 22:18, Antonio Gallardo wrote: > > Hi: > > > > I saw many projects that benefit from maven in: > > > > 1-shared repository of jars.
