Starting your JSP with '<%@ page language="java" contentType="" %>' or setting the content type in a scriptlet ('<% response.setContentType(""); %>') works for me. Apparently, Tomcat (v5.0.24) sets the content type to a default of 'text/html' when the JSP doesn't explicitly set it. Kind regards, Jonathan
