And it should be unbounded only once when session is expired. So no performance issues here. And when you are creating continuation, this root continuation will be parent for all continuations for which no parent was explicitly specified. I agree that storing continuations manager in each continuation is not a good idea. So probably we could do with adding RootWebContinuation class which extends WebContinuation and implements HttpSessionBindingListener... WDYT?
