StoreJanitorImpl vs CocoonStoreJanitor

Hey all,
Is there a need to keep two implementations - StoreJanitorImpl vs 
CocoonStoreJanitor - or one can be folded into another? Anybody needs older 
StoreJanitorImpl which runs own thread?
