Considering pros and cons, solution 2 has my choice. Deciding on how to vote on multiple choices will also be a good occasion to start working again at formalizing our rules.
Thoughts?
Slight modification on No 2, to make it consistent with our practices:
Weight each solution with one of 5 levels: -1, -0.5, 0, +0.5, +1, and choose the one with the highest sum.
It worked in the past, it will work now.
