Are we?

  * XSLTProcessorImpl uses source validity / aggregate validity,
    I don't see any delays in there.

  * Cocoon.java has hardcoded delay

  * JXTemplate does not have any delay at all

  * XSP, etc.

Nothing sitemap related and therefor totally different issues.

Got carried away a bit :-) It is related though to filesystem checks.


It would probably be even more effective to fix those.

Yes it will - sitemap is just few files, while all xsls and jx used for single request can be many.
