You'll find the following definition in WEB-INF\properties\dev

# Turn on debug logging
org.apache.cocoon.override.loglevel=DEBUG

Just comment out the property completly.

Didn't help. The debugging messages seem to come from the MyFaces block or some JSF classes only.
