downtime this weekend was noted there.

Henri posted a blog entry over the weekend that explained what was
going on.
Granted, these aren't necessarily the best channels of communication,
but they do exist.
Sander sent out a (somewhat late, but definitely in time) email to
committers@ that informed folks of the outage. Did you not get it?
I did ... it just somehow got "read" state (probably thunderbird did
this automatically when opening fresh mail...) so I've missed it.
