The mailing list archives and JIRA are loaded with references to the
current version number scheme.
2.2 = Mavenization
3.0 = OSGi
Don't change it now, that will make it a lot more confusing to refer to
past discussions. The Java 1.3 thing is such a minor issue, nobody
cares about it, it's not a big enough deal to force a shift in a
version number plan that's this long established.
