After the Excalibur community successfully released all their modules (many
thanks to Jorg!), I upgraded (hopefully) all dependencies.
I also removed the dependency on
http://people.apache.org/repo/m1-snapshot-repository in our root pom. Some
modules still need artifacts from there:
- chaperon
- deli
- faces
- jfor
- portal-wsrp
- xmldb
- forms -> xreporter
The only critical dependency from this list is xreporter. I hope that we get a
patch release published to the central Maven repo very soon so that we can
release the cForms block.
If anybody wants something more than a milestone release for any of the other
blocks, pls get in contact with the communities.
Additionally I upgraded commons-logging, log4j and Xalan to the latest available
versions.
After rebuilding trunk using the allblocks profile with an empty local repo, I
don't see any Excalibur libs there afterwards. There are two old Avalon libs but
they come from commons-logging. We set the exclusion correctly, so I don't think
that there is something to worry about. I guess that the dependency resolution
triggers a download which remains unused later.
If you encounter any problems and you have commit rights, pls fix them :-),
otherwise pls let us know. I don't think that you need to file a JIRA issue for
this kind of problems.
Finally, don't forget to run "mvn clean" for all of your "war" modules.
Otherwise you will get some of the libs duplicated as the groupId of many
Excalibur modules was corrected.
