I am OK pushing forward directly to 1.3, but given severity of these
issues and assuming we may drop 1.4 support, it may be best to push
out
a 1.2.3 to address them.
Personally, I am more interested in the 1.3 release than any further 1.2.3
releases. I am going to press on with the 1.3 changes in trunk on the
assumption that a 1.2 release branch will be created from an appropriate svn
revision if required.
Let me know if this is the wrong thing to do. I don't want to step on
anyones toes.
Not a problem to push to 1.3. Backport of bugfixes is always an
option. The bahavior changes and new features in trunk will require
testing and support, but I am +1 to push this if you and others are
willing to help get it in shape for release and tested.
