[SANSELAN] Non-serializable ArrayLists

 I found recently is that some getItems() calls return non-serializable 
ArrayLists, which, for my purposes, was a small handicap.  Is there a 
native solution to this, does anyone know?  If not, I wonder if this is 
something that may be worth adding?
