Well, that's not putting me in the holiday spirit. It is a Java dependency in the sense that Java applications depend on it! What's the argument against? MC does not know about the Java-ness of the files it stores, does it? I care that I write my apps in Java and use Java tools to build the thing. Except for this one corner case? Bummer.
