As a new committer I would really join you crowd, so I am currently planning to visit the Europe Con and have some holiday (unfortunatelly its not the best time of the year to make holiday, but hey...). I would be able to speak a bit in VFS, but there is not much news (and I dont know all the details). So maybe instead of a longish component presentation only a BOF "future directions VFS". For example discussion in the light of java.nio.file.spi... A similiar discussion BOF around Git usage?
